Rajiv Chandrasekaran

Rajiv Chandrasekaran is an American journalist and author. He is currently a senior correspondent and associate editor at The Washington Post, where he has been working since 1994. Chandrasekaran attended Stanford University and earned a degree in political science. Throughout his career, he has served as bureau chief in Baghdad, Cairo, and Southeast Asia, covering major events such as the war in Afghanistan. Chandrasekaran's notable work includes his 2006 book 'Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq's Green Zone,' which won the 2007 Samuel Johnson Prize. The book also inspired the film 'Green Zone' released in 2010. With extensive experience and expertise, Chandrasekaran has established himself as a respected figure in the field of journalism.
