Ralitsa Vassileva

Ralitsa Vassileva (Ралица Василева) is a Bulgarian journalist. Born on June 8, 1963, she has made significant contributions to the field of journalism. From 1992 to 2014, Vassileva served as an anchorwoman on CNN television news, based at the network's global headquarters in Atlanta. During her tenure, she anchored CNN Newsroom, previously known as World Report, covering major international news stories such as the Chilean miner rescue, the Iran student protests, and Israel's Gaza offensive. Vassileva has also interviewed numerous world leaders and high-profile figures, including Mikhail Gorbachev, Ariel Sharon, and Henry Kissinger. Currently, she is a lecturer at Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, sharing her expertise with aspiring journalists.
