Rand Paul

Randal Howard Paul is an American politician and United States senator from Kentucky. He has been serving as a senator since 2011 and is a member of the Republican Party. Born on January 7, 1963, Paul is the son of former three-time presidential candidate and U.S. representative from Texas, Ron Paul. He describes himself as a constitutional conservative and supporter of the Tea Party movement. Paul attended Baylor University and graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a practicing ophthalmologist in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In addition to his political career, Paul was a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
