Ransford Doherty Biography
Ransford Doherty is an American actor known for his supporting role as Kendall in the hit series The Closer (2008–2012) and its crossover show Major Crimes (2012–2017). He has also appeared in notable films such as Something Like a Business alongside Kevin Hart and Hostage with Bruce Willis. Born in Washington, D.C., Doherty attended C.D. Hylton High School and studied theatre performance at Longwood University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. His first screen appearances began in 2000, and he went on to have guest roles in several popular shows, including Malcolm in the Middle, Las Vegas, Bones, Girlfriends, and The Office. In addition to his acting career, Doherty is also a teacher, working with special education students in the Los Angeles area.
