Ray Livingston Biography
Ray Stanley Livingston (29 August 1922 – 31 October 2006) was an Australian public servant. He served as Secretary of the Department of Northern Development from 1972 to 1975, and later as Secretary of the Department of the Northern Territory from 1975 to 1978. Livingston began his career in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II, serving as a pilot in Coastal Command in Europe. He then worked with the Departments of National Development and Trade and Industry before his appointments in the Department of Northern Development. Livingston played a key role in the establishment and administration of the Department of the Northern Territory.
