Ray Warren
Ray Warren (born June 11, 1943) is a retired Australian sports commentator known for his coverage of televised professional rugby league matches on the Nine Network. He is widely recognized as the 'Voice of Rugby League' and has called 99 State of Origin games and 45 NRL Grand Finals. In addition to rugby league, Warren also provided commentary for Australian swimming team events and the FINA World Championships until 2008. Born in Junee, New South Wales, Warren initially pursued a career in law enforcement before transitioning into broadcasting. He began his broadcasting career at 2LF Young, New South Wales, and went on to establish himself as one of the most respected sports commentators in Australia.
