Rebecca Ann Thomas (born December 10, 1984) is an American filmmaker and television director. She gained recognition for writing and directing the film Electrick Children and has directed episodes of popular TV shows such as Stranger Things, Limetown, and When the Streetlights Go On. Thomas was raised in Las Vegas as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Japan for 18 months. Her short film, 'Nobody Knows You, Nobody Gives a Damn,' premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Her debut feature, Electrick Children, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012. Thomas directed episode seven of the second season of Stranger Things, titled 'The Lost Sister.'
