Rebecca Watson

Rebecca Watson is an American atheist blogger and YouTuber. Born in 1980 in New Jersey, she graduated from Boston University with a degree in communications in 2002. Initially uninterested in science, Watson's perspective shifted while working as a magician and meeting fellow skeptics, including James Randi. She went on to found the blog Skepchick and co-hosted The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe podcast. Watson is known for her activism in critiquing the modern atheist movement, particularly its treatment of women. Being primarily active online, she has been described as the first major atheist to rise to prominence on the web.
