Kandahar is a 2001 Iranian film directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. It tells the story of Nafas, an Afghan-Canadian journalist who travels to Afghanistan in an attempt to save her sister, who is threatening to commit suicide. As Nafas embarks on this perilous journey, she encounters various challenges and witnesses the harsh realities of life under the oppressive Taliban regime. Through her eyes, we are exposed to the struggles faced by Afghan women and the devastating consequences of war.
