    Richard Buckman (born 27 May 1989) is a New Zealand rugby union player, known for his versatility in playing as a midfield back, wing, or fullback. He currently represents the Kobelco Kobe Steelers in the Japan Rugby League One competition. Born in Palmerston North, Buckman attended Argyll School and later Napier Boys' High School, where he was a member of their 1st XV. He plays club rugby for Napier Technical and has been a part of the Magpies Wider Training Group. Although he came close to being selected for the New Zealand Under-20 World Cup side, he has yet to receive a national team call-up.
