Richard Stephen Ziman (born November 5, 1942) is a prominent real estate investor, philanthropist, and Democratic party donor in Southern California. He was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to parents Helen and Charlie Ziman, both of whom were Jewish. Ziman moved to Beverly Hills, California, with his family in 1958. After earning a J.D. at USC in 1967, he worked as an associate at the law firm Loeb & Loeb, specializing in real estate. In 1980, Ziman founded Pacific Financial Group, a real estate investment firm that focused on purchasing and redeveloping rundown buildings. By 1987, the firm had a portfolio of 5,000,000 square feet. Ziman's successful career in real estate has made him a prominent figure in Southern California.
