Rob Lainton

Rob Lainton, born on October 12, 1989, is an English professional footballer known for his role as a goalkeeper. He began his professional career with Bolton Wanderers in March 2011 but did not make any appearances for the first team. Lainton joined Bury in July 2013, where he played 45 games over four seasons, including 22 in their successful promotion campaign from League Two in 2014-15. He also had loan spells at Burton Albion and Cheltenham Town. In June 2017, Lainton signed with Port Vale and later joined Wrexham after a loan spell. He was named Wrexham's Player of the Season for the 2018-19 campaign. Wrexham went on to win the National League title.
