Robert B. Kennedy (February 6, 1940 – May 1, 2018) was an American politician from Lowell, Massachusetts. He served as a member of the Lowell City Council from 1971 to 1975 and again from 1981 to 1990. Kennedy also represented the 3rd District on the Massachusetts Governor's Council from 1989 to 1995. In addition to his local political roles, he ran for the United States House of Representatives in Massachusetts's 5th congressional district in 1972. Kennedy had a background in finance and attended Bentley College of Accounting and Finance and Lowell Technological Institute. He passed away on May 1, 2018, in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the age of 78.
