Robert Egger is an American nonprofit leader, author, speaker, and activist in the culinary field. He is best known as the founder of the DC Central Kitchen, a nationally recognized 'community kitchen' that collects leftover food from hospitality businesses and farms to provide meals to local service agencies and fuel a culinary arts job training program. In 2013, he founded the L.A. Kitchen, a similar initiative in Los Angeles. Prior to his work in the nonprofit sector, Egger managed nightclubs in Washington DC. With his dedication and innovation, Egger has helped provide millions of meals and employment opportunities for individuals in need.
