Hands trained at the esteemed Bristol Old Vic theatre school, honing his skills and preparing for a successful career. With over twenty years of experience, he has portrayed leading roles in various mediums, including film, television, classical theatre, and musical theatre in London's West End. Notable television appearances include Sharpe's Battle, Doctor Who, and The House of Eliott. Additionally, Hands has appeared in films such as Charlotte Gray, Anna and the King, and Shine, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. He is also a member of the renowned all-male Shakespeare company Propeller. Recently, he was part of the UK cast of Come From Away from 2019 to 2020.
