Robert Rodriguez

Robert Anthony Rodriguez (born June 20, 1968) is an American filmmaker, composer, and visual effects supervisor. Known for his unique filmmaking style, Rodriguez often shoots, edits, produces, and scores many of his films in Mexico and his home state of Texas. He gained commercial success with the 1992 action film El Mariachi, which was made on a shoestring budget of $7,000 and grossed $2.6 million. This success led to the creation of the Mexico Trilogy, consisting of Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Rodriguez is also recognized for his work on From Dusk till Dawn, which he both directed and developed into a television series. He has directed other notable films such as Sin City, Spy Kids franchise, The Faculty, and Alita: Battle Angel.
