Roberto Escobar

Roberto de Jesús Escobar Gaviria, born on January 13, 1947, is a former accountant and co-founder of the Medellín Cartel, responsible for a significant portion of cocaine smuggling into the United States. He is the brother of the late drug kingpin, Pablo Escobar. Besides his involvement in the criminal world, Roberto had a passion for cycling. He achieved notable success in the sport, securing third place in the team event of the National Cycling Championship of Colombia and earning 37 victories in a single year. He also served as a coach for the Colombian cycling team in international competitions. Roberto is known by the nickname El Osito, meaning "the little teddy bear."
