Rockwell Knuckles
Rockwell Knuckles, born Corey Barnett, is a hip hop/rap artist hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. He gained recognition for his performances at SXSW and has been nominated for multiple Riverfront Times Music Awards. Rockwell adopted his stage name after a bullying incident during high school, where he punched someone and earned the nickname 'Rocky Knuckles.' Inspired by the trend of St. Louis rappers having names ending in 'y,' he modified it to 'Rockwell Knuckles.' After attending Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School, Rockwell briefly enrolled at Harris-Stowe State University before dropping out to join a seven-member rap group known as Pangea. In 2003, he relocated to Los Angeles to collaborate with the Art Thugs production team on a project.
