Rod Keller Biography
Major General Rodney Frederick Leopold Keller CBE (2 October 1900 – 21 June 1954) was a notable Canadian Army officer who achieved divisional-level command in the Second World War. He commanded the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division during the D-Day invasion, specifically tasked with taking Juno Beach. Keller began his military career after graduating from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario, and joining the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He attended Staff College in England before being sent overseas as a brigade major. Keller eventually rose to the rank of major-general and served as General Officer Commanding from September 1942 to August 1944.
