Roger C. Carmel (1932-1986) was an American actor known for originating several roles on Broadway, playing numerous guest roles on television series, and appearing in motion pictures. He gained recognition for his recurring role as the conniving con artist, Harry Mudd, in Star Trek. Carmel worked on Broadway from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s, originating roles in productions such as The Power and the Glory and Caligula. On television, he starred as Roger Buell in the first season of the sitcom The Mothers-in-Law. Carmel's diverse acting career made him a notable figure in both the theater and film industries.
