Ron Kelly Biography
Ron Kelly is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. Born on June 11, 1929, in Vancouver, British Columbia, he started his career with the CBC film unit, directing various short and documentary films from 1952 to 1964. He also worked independently, producing and directing documentaries in France, Spain, and Mexico between 1956 and 1958. Kelly furthered his studies at Pinewood Studios in England from 1959 to 1962, where he worked on documentaries for the BBC, CBC, and National Office of Film, UK. In 1967, he co-wrote and directed the feature film Waiting for Caroline, which was internationally distributed by United Artists. Kelly has also directed for Twentieth Century Fox Studios and Disney Studio. Throughout his career, he has worked on dramas and documentaries for the NFB and CBC, with his most recent film being Victims of Victims (2004), a documentary.
