Ron Maestri Biography
Ron Maestri is an American former college baseball coach. He is best known for his tenure as the head coach of the New Orleans Privateers baseball program. Maestri held this position from 1972 to 1984 and again from 2014 to 2015. In addition to coaching, he also served as the Privateers athletic director from 1979 to 2000. Throughout his career, Maestri made significant contributions to college athletics administration and worked in the front office of the minor league New Orleans Zephyrs. He briefly came out of retirement to fill UNO's coaching vacancy during its transition back to Division I. Maestri's coaching record demonstrates his expertise and dedication to the sport.
