Ron McLarty Biography
Ron McLarty (April 26, 1947 – February 8, 2020) was an American actor, playwright, and novelist. He gained recognition as an audiobook narrator, recording over 100 titles and receiving multiple Audie Awards. McLarty appeared in numerous television series, films, and stage productions throughout his career. He also wrote several plays and authored 10 novels, including the acclaimed work The Memory of Running (2004). McLarty's early acting credits include the role of Lucky in Michael Weller's Moonchildren, both in its American premiere at the Arena Stage and its subsequent move to Broadway in the early 1970s. He also co-starred as Sgt. Frank Belson on the TV series Spenser: For Hire.
