    Ronald Steven Suskind is an American journalist, author, and filmmaker. Born on November 20, 1959, in Kingston, New York, Suskind was the senior national affairs writer for The Wall Street Journal from 1993 to 2000. He is known for winning the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing for articles that later became his first book, A Hope in the Unseen. Suskind has authored several other books, including The Price of Loyalty, The One Percent Doctrine, The Way of the World, and Confidence Men. He also wrote a memoir titled Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes, and Autism, which inspired an Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated feature documentary. Suskind has extensively covered the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations along with related issues concerning the United States' use of power.
