    Ronald D. Moore (born July 5, 1964) is an American screenwriter and television producer. He is best known for his work on Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and Outlander. Moore won a Peabody Award for his work on the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. In 2019, he created and wrote the series For All Mankind for Apple TV+. Moore studied government at Cornell University and was Literary Secretary of The Kappa Alpha Society. He briefly served on the frigate USS W.S. Sims during his freshman year. Moore's career in writing and drama began in high school, and he went on to become a prominent figure in the television industry.
