Ronald Dario

Ronald A. Dario (1937 - June 30, 2004) was a Republican Party politician and former Commissioner in Union City, New Jersey. Born and raised in Hoboken, he attended A. J. Demarest High School (now known as Hoboken High School), where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. Dario continued his education at Wagner College, playing basketball for four seasons on the Wagner Seahawks men's basketball team. In 1974, he joined William Musto's successful campaign for Union City Commissioners and served two terms on the Union City Commission. However, he distanced himself from Musto following the latter's indictment and conviction on corruption charges in 1982. Dario later represented the 33rd Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1984 to 1986.
