    Ronnie Ray (born January 2, 1954) is an American retired track and field athlete known for his success in sprint events. He achieved his greatest victory by winning the men's 400 meters race at the 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City, Mexico. During this race, on October 18, 1975, Ray set a personal best time of 44.45 seconds. Additionally, while competing for Homer L. Ferguson High School in Newport News, Virginia, in 1972, Ray established the national high school record in the 440-yard dash with a time of 45.8 seconds, a record that remains unbroken to this day. It's worth noting that there are two other famous individuals with the same name as Ronnie Ray.
