Roopam Sharma

Roopam Sharma (born May 24, 1995) is an Indian scientist best known for his work on Manovue, a technology that allows the visually impaired to read printed text. He has a strong background in Wearable Computing, Mobile Application Development, Human Centered Design, Computer Vision, AI, and Cognitive Science. Sharma's achievements include receiving the Gifted Citizen Prize in 2016 and being recognized as one of the top 8 Innovators Under 35 by the MIT Technology Review in India that same year. He was also honored as part of Asia's 21 Young Leaders Initiative in 2018. Sharma was born in Faridabad, Haryana, India and pursued his education at Manav Rachna University.
