Rory Keane Biography
Thomas Roderick "Rory" Keane (31 August 1922 – 13 February 2004) was an Irish footballer who played as a defender. Born in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Keane spent the majority of his career at Swansea Town, where he became one of the club's greatest players. He also represented both the IFA XI and the FAI XI, earning five caps before his international career was cut short by two broken legs. Keane eventually retired after suffering a third leg break. Following his retirement, he settled in south Wales until his death in 2004. Keane's grandson, Jamie Harris, is also a notable footballer, having played for Swansea City and various clubs in the League of Ireland.
