Rosemary Smith
Rosemary Smith (born 7 August 1937) is a rally driver from Dublin, Ireland. Initially trained as a dress designer, she entered her first rally as a co-driver but later switched to driving. She caught the attention of the Rootes Group's Competition Department and received a works drive. In 1958, Smith and Valerie Domleo won the Dutch Tulip Rally, driving a Hillman Imp. She also won the ladies' prize on the Circuit of Ireland Rally in 1964 and the Tulip Rally outright in 1965. Smith faced controversy when she was disqualified from the 1966 Monte Carlo Rally despite winning the Coupe des Dames. Smith's achievements have made her a notable figure in the world of rally driving.
