Clarence Ross Turner III, born on May 15, 1964, is an American politician and member of the Republican party. He has been serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate from the 8th District since 2012. Turner is the son of Clarence Ross Jr. and Anne Summers Turner, and was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He earned a B.S. degree in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1986. Turner married Julie on January 20, 1990, and they have three children. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor and manages his family's insurance business. Turner has won several elections, including the 2012 and 2016 general elections, and the 2020 primary election against Janice Curtis.
