    Roy Rowan Biography
    Roy Rowan (1 February 1920 - September 13, 2016) was an American foreign correspondent, editor, and author. He worked for Time-Life and its successor media company, Time-Warner, for over 30 years, reporting on significant events such as the 1949 revolution in China, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. From 1959 to 1970, Rowan served as Life magazine's assistant managing editor in charge of news. He later became Time magazine's bureau chief for Asia and Australia until 1978. Rowan wrote 10 published books on various topics and spent the latter part of his career as a feature story writer for Time magazine and on the Board of Editors of Fortune magazine. He passed away on September 13, 2016.
