Russell W. "Russ" Hunt, Jr. (born c. 1951) is an American former basketball player known for his collegiate career at Furman University from 1970 to 1973. During his time at Furman, Hunt received several accolades, including being named a First Team All-Southern Conference selection in his sophomore and junior seasons. In his junior year, he was also named the Southern Conference Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring with 22.5 points per game and a field goal percentage of 52.6%. Hunt scored a total of 1,248 points during his career and led the Paladins to two NCAA tournaments. Although drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1973 NBA draft, Hunt never played professionally.
