Sam Coppola Biography
Sam Coppola (July 31, 1932 – February 5, 2012) was an American actor known for his appearances in almost 70 films, starting in 1968. He is particularly remembered for his role as Dan Fusco, the owner of the hardware and paint store in the classic 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, where he provided sage advice to John Travolta's character. Coppola also made a notable appearance on The Sopranos as Jennifer Melfi's eccentric family therapist. His film credits include roles as a cop in Serpico (1973) and a detective in Fatal Attraction (1987). He also had numerous TV credits, including The Practice, The Good Wife, and Law & Order.
