Sam Willoughby
Sam Willoughby (born 15 August 1991) is an Australian former BMX racing cyclist. He gained recognition for his achievements in the sport, including winning an Olympic silver medal in 2012. Willoughby, also known as 'the BMX bandit,' left his home in Adelaide at the age of 16 to pursue his cycling career in California. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning the junior BMX title in 2008 and 2009. In May 2012, Willoughby won his first senior BMX world championship, propelling him to the number one ranking in the world. He competed in the men's BMX event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, securing a silver medal. Willoughby supports bicycle education for children through the Happiness Cycle initiative.
