Sara Martins Biography
Sara Martins (born 19 August 1977) is a Portuguese-born French actress of Cape Verdean descent. She is known in France for her roles on television, in film, and in theatre. Martins gained recognition for her portrayal of Detective Sergeant Camille Bordey in the joint British-French crime comedy-drama Death in Paradise, which was filmed in Guadeloupe. She left the show during series 4 but made a temporary return in Season 10 Episode 6. Martins was born in Faro, Portugal, and moved to France at the age of three. She studied ballet and became the first person of African descent to join the Lyon Opera. Unable to advance to the Paris Opera due to the lack of diversity, she pursued a career in acting, completing her education at École de théâtre Le
