Sarah Corrigan
Sarah Corrigan (born 1980) is an Australian international rugby union referee. She began her refereeing career in 1998 after completing a referee course while attending Daramalan College in Canberra. Corrigan made history by becoming the first woman to officiate an ACT Premier Rugby First Grade match. In 2006, she achieved another milestone by being appointed as a referee for the Women's Rugby World Cup third/fourth playoff. On 4 April 2007, Corrigan became the first female referee at a male IRB tournament when she officiated the Under 19 Rugby World Championship match between Zimbabwe and Canada. She was recognized for her achievements and awarded the 2007 IRB's Women’s Personality of the Year.
