Sarah Demers

Sarah Demers is an American physicist and the Horace D. Taft associate professor of physics at Yale University. She graduated from Phillips Andover Academy in 1994 and holds an A.B. in Physics from Harvard University (1999). Demers received her M.A. (2001) and Ph.D. (2005) from the University of Rochester, where she worked under the guidance of Kevin McFarland. After teaching at Roberts Wesleyan University, she worked at CERN in Geneva as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2009, she joined Yale University as a faculty member. Demers is known for her expertise in particle physics. She co-teaches a class on the Physics of Dance at Yale and appeared in Emily Coates' 2015 show 'Incarnations'.More
