Scott Brady Biography
Scott Brady, born Gerard Kenneth Tierney, was an American film and television actor known for his roles in Western films and as a television presence. He gained prominence for playing the title role in the television series Shotgun Slade (1959-1961). Born in Brooklyn to Lawrence and Mary Alice Tierney, Brady took his screen name from a friend's short story. Raised in Westchester County, New York, he attended Roosevelt and St. Michael's high schools where he excelled in basketball, football, and track. Brady initially aspired to become a football coach or radio announcer but enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Throughout his career, he appeared in numerous Western films and had regular television appearances, establishing himself as a notable actor in the industry.
