He held the position of press secretary for the longest duration under Bush's administration. McClellan gained attention as the author of the controversial book 'What Happened,' which became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. Born in Austin, Texas, McClellan comes from a politically active family, with his mother being a former Texas State Comptroller and his brother serving in high-level government positions. Currently, McClellan serves as the Vice President for Communications at Seattle University.
