Scott McDonald
Scott McDonald is an Australian former professional footballer and current head coach for National Premier Leagues club Gold Coast Knights. Born on August 21, 1983, in Dandenong, McDonald started his senior footballing career with Gippsland Falcons in the National Soccer League. He later moved to Great Britain in 2001, where he played for various clubs including Southampton in the Premier League, as well as Celtic and Motherwell in the Scottish top flight. McDonald represented Australia 26 times between 2006 and 2012, and was part of the squad for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. He also played in several FIFA tournaments, including the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship, 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship, and 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.
