Sean Young Biography
Mary Sean Young, born on November 20, 1959, is an American actress. She is best known for her work in sci-fi films, although she has also performed roles in various genres. Young's notable early roles include the independent romance film Jane Austen in Manhattan (1980) and the commercially successful comedy feature Stripes (1981). She gained breakthrough recognition for her portrayal of Rachael in the sci-fi classic Blade Runner (1982), and her likeness was later used in the sequel Blade Runner 2049 (2017). Young has also appeared in the sci-fi film Dune (1984), led the neo-noir No Way Out (1987), and had prominent roles in Wall Street (1987), Fatal Instinct (1993), and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Young is the daughter of Donald Young Jr., a television producer and journalist, and Lee Guthrie, a screenwriter, public relations executive, and journalist. She attended Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
