Sergio Quintero

Sergio Saúl Quintero Chavez, born on 9 May 1999, is an Ecuadorian footballer. He is known for his defensive midfielder position and currently plays for Ecuadorian Serie A side Mushuc Runa on loan from Aucas. Quintero, often referred to as La Máquina, meaning The Machine, hails from San Lorenzo. At the age of 12, he attempted to try out at Independiente del Valle but was rejected. He later joined Cumbayá FC, making his debut and spending a year with the club. Quintero then moved to Ibarra, where he studied and eventually joined Imbabura SC after a trial at Mushuc Runa.
