Shannon Thomas, also known as Shannon Charles Thomas, was an American murderer who was convicted for the Christmas Eve, 1993 murders of Roberto Rios and his two children in Baytown, Texas. Along with his accomplice Keith Bernard Clay, they killed a total of four people between December 1993 and January 1994. Thomas and Clay's intention was to rob Rios, a small-time drug dealer, of his drugs and money. Thomas was executed by lethal injection in 2005, while Clay was executed in 2003 by the U.S. state of Texas. Their crimes shocked the nation, and their case remains a tragic chapter in American criminal history.
