Shantall Lacayo (born May 4, 1984) is a Nicaraguan fashion designer and former contestant on Project Runway Latin America and Project Runway. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, on May 4, 1984, Lacayo began her career in fashion design at the age of 17. After completing her studies in marketing and publicity at U.A.M., she moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to further her education in design and fabrics technology at Escuela Argentina de Moda. In 2009, she opened her first studio in San Telmo, Buenos Aires. Lacayo gained recognition on the first season of Project Runway Latin America and later co-founded Nicaragua Diseña in 2012. She has dressed notable individuals, including Nicaraguan filmmaker Gabriel Serra at the 87th Academy Awards. Lacayo is currently based in Miami, Florida, working on building her brand.
