Shaun Majumder

Shaun Vincent Majumder (born January 29, 1972) is a Canadian actor and comedian. He gained recognition for his role on the television series This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he worked from 2003 to 2018. In 2006, he was honored with a Gemini Award for his outstanding performance on the show. Majumder, born to a European-Canadian mother from Newfoundland and a Bengali Hindu Indian father from West Bengal, was raised in Burlington, Newfoundland. Growing up in a predominantly white community, he had initially been unaware of his own racial identity. Despite facing racial slurs, Majumder found success in the entertainment industry and has been regarded as a talented and versatile performer.
