Shawn Clark

Shawn Clark (born August 16, 1975) is an American football coach and former player. Currently, he serves as the head football coach at Appalachian State University. Clark has been involved with the program since 2016, initially as an assistant coach before being promoted to head coach. Known for his emphasis on the culture, traditions, and family values of Appalachian State football, Clark aims to bring stability to the program following the departure of previous coaches. Prior to his coaching career, Clark was an offensive lineman in college, earning two All-American titles and three all-conference selections. As the head coach, he plans to honor the legacy of Jerry Moore, a legendary figure in Boone, by ensuring his ongoing presence in the program.
