Sheena Kamal is a Canadian novelist known for her thrilling works and young adult fiction. Born in Trinidad, she moved to Canada at the age of 6. Kamal holds a degree in political science from the University of Toronto and has previously worked in the film industry. She has published three novels centered around Nora Watts, including 'The Lost Ones' (2017), 'It All Falls Down' (2018), and 'No Going Back' (2020). These novels follow Watts, a crime investigator of half-Indigenous and half-Palestinian descent, living in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Kamal's debut novel, 'The Lost Ones', received critical acclaim and won the 2018 Macavity Award for best first novel and the Kobo Emerging Writer Prize for Mystery.
