Shelagh Fraser Biography
Shelagh Fraser (25 November 1920 – 29 August 2000) was an English actress known for her roles in the television serial A Family at War (1970–1971) and as Aunt Beru in Star Wars (1977). Born in Purley, Surrey, she overcame spinal tuberculosis as a child. She trained as an actor at Croydon Repertory Theatre Drama School and made her stage debut in 1938. Fraser had a diverse career on stage, including her West End debut in 1944. In addition to her notable television and film roles, she also appeared in various other TV shows and movies throughout her career.
