Shingo Usami Biography
Shingo Usami is a Japanese professional baseball catcher currently playing for the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He began his career with the Yomiuri Giants before moving on to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Usami has also represented the Yomiuri Giants in the 2018 MLB Japan All-Star Series exhibition game against MLB All-Stars. On June 19, 2023, he was traded to the Chunichi Dragons along with teammate Koki Saito. Usami is known for his skills as a catcher and has made significant contributions to his teams throughout his career in NPB.
